Living in Finland as opposed to the UK

How About Living in Finland

How About Living in I was trying to think whyn I feel happier Living in Finland as a British Expatriate,as opposed to residing in th UK.What follows are some observations that I have made.

Transport Functions Living in Finland

If I or you go to catch a train, the time it should arrive is say 14:15,well in Finland that train pulls into the station exactly on time.I remember all to often standing on a platform in Britain and hearing the same old announcement”The 16:35 train to Wolverhampton is running late”.When I say late,it could be for hours or more exactly, cancelled all together.I know as I worked for the British Rail National Enquiries Service for 2 years.it was a frustrating career change for me and the rail travellers themselves.Equally the bus system runs to the minute. Why Britain cannot sort these simple logistical problems out?

Living in Finland Healthcare

I consider the British health care system to be a total waste of time and valuable resources.I believe the saying that “There are to many chiefs and not enough Indians”to aptly apply to this current situation in the UK.Where as living in FinlandI live,I have received exemplary service from the Finnish Heaslth C are system.I was first seen for symptoms in 2004 and after exhaustive tests and examinations,I was eventually in 2005 diagnosed with Primary Progressive Multiple Sclerosis.Living in Finland

Living in Finland I have three neurologists and a opthalmol, ogist plus many avenues for physiotherapy.Important is it is all free and the service is first class. On Septmber 14 I am booked in to a rehabilitation center for people with acute vision problems as a result of Ms.The place is called Kuntoutus-lirikseen.There are 2 weeks of tests, evaluations of my condition and continued support,in the way of larger screens for my desktop.glasses,physiotherapy,neurologists,psychiatrists.

So I will be away for 12 days for furtyher assessment all payed for by the Finnish State Insurance,KELA.

Living in Finland

Living in Finland has truly been an amazing experience.Finnish People are often heard saying”Living in Finland is like winning the jackpot in the lottery”Finland is a very forward thinking society. It ranks highly in technological industries and is a growing economy.I also believe they have one of the best education systems in the World. The nature is a high priority for all Finnish People. You very rarely see litter on the streets an lawns outside apartment blocks are well cared for.Crime is low,Where Helsinki is voted second safest city in the World, where as in England crime has gotten totally out of control.

The Weather Living in Finland

Many people complain about the snow, ice and cild climate.

I find it invigorating going outside when the temperature is -20c.It is a dry cold, not humid. So it does not go through to your bones as in Britain. The houses are buily for the cold weather. One very nice point,is that there are no mice in the apartments. It is to cold and they could not get in if they are there. But I have yet to see ONE living in Finland

There are nany winter events held every year, world championships, skiing, ice hockey.ski jumping and there are the natural phenomena of The Northern Lights(Aurora Borealis)

Whether you are now just considering living in Finland or moving to Finland,or you already live here, having the right information, attitude, making local contacts and above all keeping an open mind are key to having a pleasurable time here in Finland

If you like it here, you may just stay and take up  Living in Finland as a British Expat for 21 years.Hyvää Suomi

Living in Finland has a lot to offer overseaseas immigrants

Something else is that when evaluating a good on-line electronics retail outlet, look for web shops that are regularly updated, retaining up-to-date with the newest products, the perfect deals, plus helpful information on services. This will ensure you are doing business with a shop that stays on top of the competition and provides you what you need to make knowledgeable, well-informed electronics acquisitions. Thanks for the vital tips I have learned through the blog.

Living in Finland is much cheaper, but I know that transport (buses and trains) is not cheap compared to UK. I think weather is better in Finland that in UK, simply because it is not that wet.

The reason is that the country is so large. But the train and flights work regardless of the freezing weather conditions. We ar e now entering the spring/summer so we all look forwa rd to the long, warm nights to celebrate out doors

After reading about Finland and daily life, I think it is a sweet dream for me . I never think about this, becaus I am living in a country which is known as a poorest small country in the world whre corruption is national fashion, law and orde is out of order , threat for flood and cyclon, unsafe is life, unemploy is inreasing incredibly, frustration is common for all , political leaders are great lier,no job security, health security by govt, after all of these, I love my country because I have born here ,my mother broughtup me here and i am speaking with my mother language , this is my mother land affection. But how long continue this insecured life.
I am Touhidul Hoque , date of birth 15th july 1965, university graduate ,married , before marriage I was only earning person in my 8 members family(father,mother,3brother,3sister) which is verymuch difficult to maintain, I have a sweet daughter(12), one sweet son (8) but I am worried about thier futer what will be thier futer . I am working in a pharmaceutical company as regional sales manager, this verymuch tough job , 16 hours hard work but no job security. Job crisis is a big problem for our country that is why employees are always in a thretening condition for loosing job, I dont know why I am saying these , But I want to put my family in a secured place . If there is any suggession or any scope to help me it will be a great thing for me . A lot of people migrating in defferent area inthe world this is my small appeal to all “Help me to migrate finland”

Thankyou for your post,

Unfortunately I personally am helpless in these matters.
The only thing I can suggest is that you try to contact The Finnish Embassey.I do not know which country as you have not mentioned it.

Best Regards
