Kimi Räikkönen to sell Finland’s most expensive home

Formula One driver and 2007 World Champion Kimi Räikkönen has put his house in the exclusive Helslnki island suburb of Kaskisaari up for sale, according to the late-edition tabloid Iltalehti.
The asking price is said to be EUR 14.5 million, which would quite comfortably make it the most expensive “desirable residence” in Finland – always assuming a buyer is found.
The property owned by Kimi Räikkönen was first listed only at the beginning of this week, but it has already provoked interest
Apparently some foreign embassies have made enquiries about the house, presumably as an ambassador’s residence.
No public showing – a common-enough Sunday occurrence with less prominent houses and apartments – is in prospect, so tourists will not get a chance to goggle at the furnishings and fittings so delving in to Kimi Räikkönen and his personal life

According to Pasi Saari, a realtor interviewed by Iltalehti, the credit crunch and economic downtown is not having any significant impact on the prices for properties at the high end of the high-end market.
“The people who buy properties in that sort of price range are not usually the kind who are among the first to feel the effects of a recession”, says Saari.
The Kimi Räikkönen house, completed in 2004, sprawls over 526 square metres and has eight bedrooms.
The F1 pilot bought the place a couple of years ago for EUR 9.5 million from the former owner of the Espoo Blues ice hockey team Jussi Salonoja.
Kimi Räikkönen, who lives primarily in Switzerland, is currently vacationing in Finland without his wife Jenni Dahlman-Räikkönen.
Where Will Kimi Räikkönen Move To
After the sale of the house, Kimi Räikkönen intends to live during visits to Finland at another property in Kirkkonummi, west of the capital.
Kimi Räikkönen owns two seafront villas on the Porkkala Peninsula with an estimated combined value of around EUR 4.5 million.

Thats a mighty expensive house!! I think that some of the most expensive houses can be found among the property in London which is for sale. One of the most expensive if all time was an estate in Hollywood owned by Harrison Ford!
