Helsinki Central Park,Serene and Beautiful
What ever City in the world you may be currently in or plan traveling to,there are beautiful almost serene spots to visit like Helsinki Central Park.In London UK we have Hyde Park,New York has Central Park.Helsinki has much the same.A spot that allows visitors to be in the City of Helsinki but at the same time leaves you with a feeling of solitude and tranquility.Strolling through Helsinki Central Park easily conveys the sense that you are far from the urban drawl of the surrounding city landscape and at one with nature.So what is this magical place and how to find it?

Helsinki Central Parklies running through the center of the city.North to South,The Park it self covers about 1000 hectares of which 723 hectares are forested.For those interested in hiking there are approximately 100km of hiking trails winding through the forest,There are many sites to see such as the Laakso Riding School and stables,The Ruskeasuo Sports park (Rasastie 10)which offers many opportunities for those interested in sports.Heading further North is Maunula Hiking Lodge where fresh coffee and light refreshments are served,You will find many such refreshment stops dotted throughout Helsinki Central
At the northernmost tip of Helsinki Central park is another Hiking Lodge,The Paloheinä Hiking Lodge useful for refreshments after a long walk-There is plenty of nature to observe whilst rambling through the forest on well sign posted trails.Some places of interest that you may look out for include;

The Exit from the Helsinki Central Park in the south brings you right out in front of The Helsinki Ice hall,home of Helsinki ice hockey team HIFK ice hockey.To be fair to the supporters of both Helsinki Ice Hockey teams the other being Jokerit whose home is in The Hartvall Areena about 1km away.
The Helsinki Central Park is easily accessible by jumping on to a number 3T tram and asking to be let off at Auroran Sairaala(Aurora Hospital).Me and my wife spent many hours walking the trails often times choosing to walk home through the nature and forest rather than travel by public transport.Helsinki Central Park may not have all the attractions and glitter of New York Central Park,but it does answer the calling for nature and serenity

Thanks for your kind reflections.I am however not really looking to sell on my Blog.This whole Blog Malarcky started as a promise by my self to some one who unfortunately passed away 6 months ago.
I am really benefiting more from this work in progress as I am coming to terms with an inner conscience of traveling,drinking,partying and living with no real objectives.
My Blog has grown on and in me;I curse it daily.but miss it dearly when away from it for more than 2 days
I guess you could say it resembles a love/hate relationship
