I hope some of you got to see the Euro vision Song contest the other day.I must say that Norway really did put on a good performance.It looks as though Europe is settling down after the introduction of several new EU member states.
The previous year,2008;I felt was a bit of a joke.The former Eastern Block countries all voting for their neighbours;I.E Serbia voting fot Croatia and Azerbaistan,and then 15 minutes later the reverse happens.Last year the competition was dominated by the huge voting numbers of these Eastern countries.While I feel it brings new blood and talent in to the contest,it left the old school favourites out in the cold.
Anyway Norway won,and listening to the song again,it convinced me that it was indeed the right song to win.It has a catchy,melodic tempo:That will stay in my humming mind until next years rendezvous.I personally liked the Icelandic entry.Should you have any comments feel free to share them,…lol Greg
